2016 National Heirloom Exposition in Santa Rosa, California

This was our first year as sponsors and vendors of the National Heirloom Exposition. The Heirloom Expo is an incredible, one-of-a-kind event. It's like a county fair for healthy living and pure food enthusiasts. There is a huge variety of people who come! Farmers, gardeners, chefs, school kids, small companies and curious folks from all around the world. The event is put on by the wonderful people at Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company

Farming and fashion are deeply connected. The same ideas about healthy living, sustainability and social justice apply to food and clothing alike. We had such a good time chatting with people about why pure clothing is just as important as pure food. We are what we put "in and on" our bodies.

Harvest & Mill fit right in at the Heirloom Expo. Since we are a small, local and independent clothing maker, we felt just like all the other local family farms.

There were hundreds of heirloom varieties on display - melons, squash, peppers, eggplants, tomatoes and more....

We met some incredible farmers and soil makers, like Ecology Action, Malibu Compost, and Boogie Brew.

We are really excited by the indigo dyeing work done by Craig Wilkinson and Twirl.

And big thanks to John from Growing Your Greens. We are in the video he made for the Heirloom Expo!
